Sixty Five Years

It's been sixty five years since the landings on the Normandy Beaches which started the turn of the tide in World War II. I just published a piece on TIME.com, a collection of photographs from the last 30 years, and an interview with Ed Jeziorski, an 82nd Airborne trooper.. please have a look...

Great photos and a nice tribute.
I remember my stepdad telling me about his experiences while serving in the Canadian army when they liberated Holland from the germans... It took a long time for him to even talk about.

Peace

I really enjoyed this report and the images. Thanks for posting it. And I really love this blog. One of my favorites.

David, Alfonso Cevola turned me on to "We're Just Sayin" and it's one of the first things I read every morning. You and Iris are breaths of fresh air.
This piece was spot. My favorite picture was of the vet in the cemetery with the crosses and Star of David.
Thank you.
